United Arab Emirates

Dreaming of Arabian nights, starry nights and camel rides in the vast sea of sand? If you want to have a desert experience that’s truly different, thrilling and fun, then go to UAE. Along the Persian Gulf’s southern coast, just east and north of Saudi Arabia, lies the United Arab Emirates. It’s a part of the Arabian Peninsula which land area equals to that of the state of Maine in the United States. It has two other neighbors, Oman and Qatar and is made up of 7 emirates: Dubai, Umm al-Oaiwain, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah and Ajman. Four fifths of UAE is full desert, landscaped with breathtaking sand dunes, rocky mountains and incredible oases. They say that the country is a barren land because only a fifth of it is fertile that can be used for agriculture. Even so, it is one of the world’s most renowned tourist destinations because of its top notch hotels, restaurants, sports and recreational activity centers and distinctive culture and traditions. With its strict implementation of safety regulations, United Arab Emirates is a safe place to go for tourists from all over the world.

UAE guarantees that your hotel stay is going to be memorable. Accommodations in the country are of very high standards. In fact, you will find many 5-star hotels like Dubai’s world famous Burj al-Arab and the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. Hotels boast of swimming pools and in-house fitness centers where travelers can take a dip, relax or even stretch some muscles in the gyms and spas. There are also amazing water sports centers and facilities where you can snorkel, scuba dive, jet ski and many more.

United Arab Emirates also features a lot of affordable shopping centers and malls where you can purchase branded items for lower prices, chill out with your friends and loved ones or just simply dine in. You may visit the Dubai Mall situated in Downtown Dubai, the Mall of Arabia in Dubailand, which is the largest mall in the emirate, Dubai Festival City just a few distance away from the Business Bay bridge, the Mall of the Emirates and the Ibn Battuta Mall built on Sheikh Zayed Road.

If you’re a party animal, there’s no need to worry. UAE also features a lot of amazing night life venues, well except for the emirate Sharjah. There’s a wide variety of bars and lounges where you can have a sip of your favorite cocktails. Belly dancing is also one of the most sought-after shows in nightclubs not to mention a broad array of performances by different Arab singers and musicians. For those who love dancing, you can spend time in discos and clubs that are hosted by famous local DJs. Piano and jazz bars are also very prominent most especially in hotels.

Nature lovers will also relish their stay in the United Arab Emirates. The country is rich with a very far-reaching collection of wildlife like the Arabian oryx, Arabian mountain gazelle, sand gazelle, Arabian tahr, spiny-tailed lizard, hare, Arabian leopard and of course the most abundant species in the desert: snakes and scorpions. If you love the ocean and are also equally fond of water animals, you can join the dolphin and whale watching activities in UAE. The country is abounding with different varieties of dolphins like the Risso’s, Indo-Pacific humpback and the bottlenose dolphins. Whales range from sperm whales, the Bryde’s whales, fin whales, blue whales and the humpback whales. All these wonderful things make UAE a vacation hotspot for all ages.
