Take a plane to Southeast Asia and there you will find a country that’s rich in history, culture and incredible wonders of nature. Vietnam is located just south of China and in the eastern side of Cambodia and Laos. With a total land area of 329,569 square kilometers, this subtropical country is surrounded by several bodies of water like the South China Sea, the Thailand Gulf and the Gulf of Tonkin. It’s made up of three major regions wherein you’ll find world-renowned land and water forms like the Cao Bang plains, the Red River and Mekong Delta. The country enjoys two seasons: the wet winter and the humid summer. It also boasts of long, unforgettable history and very old traditions. From historic places to erstwhile temples, Vietnam remains one of the top tourist destinations in Asia.

In Lao Cai province lays a dreamy resort specifically found in the Sapa Townlet. It’s where you’ll find natural beauties like the Ham Rong Mountain, the Bamboo Forest, Rattan Bridge, Ta Phin Cave and the Silver Waterfall. It’s also the favorite destination of passionate mountain climbers who have always dreamed of reaching the peak of the highest mountain in Vietnam: Fansipan Mountain. Sapa is also proud of many floral riches that include orchids, peach blossoms and cherry flowers.

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is located in the Red River Delta. It is a city that’s filled with so much history that visitors will surely be in awe. Hanoi has plenty of architectural sites that consist of aged temples and different pagodas. Among the most famous attractions are the Temple of Literature, the One Pillar Pagoda, President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Opera House and also the Citadel. You should also know that Hanoi has 18 magnificent lakes that are equally incredible too.

In Halong City, there’s a UNESCO recognized World Heritage --- Halong Bay. It’s famous for its thousands of islands, pagodas, temples and historical relics. Meanwhile, you’ll find other beautiful spots in Danang City, just in between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. There’s the Ba Na Tourist Resort, the Han River, Linh Ung Pagoda and the astounding beaches of Non Nuoc and My An. If you want to see the Mediterranean of Asia, you have to go to Nha Trang. It’s not only blessed with lush vegetation and refreshing swimming areas. It also boasts of mouth watering delicacies like the swallow’s nest soup.

In the province of Lam Dong, there’s a town that shows the legacy of the French colonization era. Dalat is a resort town where you’ll see a number of natural as well as man-made lakes. It’s also home to the Dalat Flower Gardens that’s so marvelous with its collection of roses, camellias, orchids and lilies. If you have heard of the theatrical play Miss Saigon, you should then know that it’s entitled after Ho Chi Minh’s former name: Saigon. It’s where you’ll find museums and theatres, the Cu Chi Tunnels, Dam Sen Park, Saigon Thanh Da, Saigon Water Park and many other tourist areas. Finally, Hue’s another internationally acclaimed, UNESCO-recognized World Heritage. It is Vietnam’s ancient Capital City and is where Perfume River’s situated. It’s abounding with historic sites like the tombs of Kings Nguyen and pagodas that symbolize the existence of Buddhism in the country.
