USA What is worth buying in the USA? - Definitely make-up, shoes, jeans, clothing, watches are cheaper than in many other countries. Household linens are also worth considering; but take your bed / pillow measurements with you as they are not all the same.

Day 6:

Powerscout Estate - Bray: Mermaid Art Centre - National Sealife

Powerscourt Estate
Have a walk through Powerscourt House and Gardens. This Estate is one of Europe's Greatest Gardens, and one of Ireland's Greatest Treasures, with 47 acres of magnificent gardens. Power Scourt House today reflects centuries of history as the site dates back to the castle of c.1300. It contains some of the finest 18th century interiors in Ireland.

Waterfall 3 miles from Powerscourt Gardens is Ireland's highest waterfall tumbling 394 feet into the Dargle Valley. Powerscourt Waterfall has been a major attraction since the 1760's and has been a favourite family picnic spot for years. The Waterfall is fed by waters from blanket bog on top of the mountains above the valley. Peat often gives the water a brown colour, and the volume of water coming down changes dramatically a couple of hours after rain. A nature trail has been laid out around the base of the waterfall. It is the highest in the British Isles.

Bray
Discover the lovely city of Bray, the longest established seaside town in the country. It has a safe beach of sand and shingle to walk on, fronted by a spacious esplanade. The scene is dominated by Bray Head, which rises steeply (790 ft) above the sea, affording views of mountains and sea.

There is also the fantastic Mermaid Art Center, and the National Sealife Centre, which has a fairly big selection of tanks stocked with 70 different sea and freshwater species.

Unlike many of the world's large cities, Cologne, with a population of over a million, gets better every day, there are more things to do and see, more new and innovative buildings... more
