Day 2:

Segovia

Aqueduct Admire Segovia's most recognizable symbol, the aqueduct, extraordinary feat of engineering, made even more remarkable by the fact that it was first raised here by the Romans in the 1st century AD. This aqueduct is a Unesco World Heritage site. Casa de los picos Then, discover the Iglesia de San Milan, a time-worn example of the Romanesque style typical of Segovia. Continue your way to the Casa de los Picos, a Renaissance mansion with diamond-shaped façade detail. Have a break to the Plaza de San Martin, one of the most captivating little square in Segovia.

Alcazar Next, visit the Cathedral which is a powerful expression of Gothic architecture in Spain. Segovia's Alcazar is one of the main highlight in Segovia as well. It's an impressive castle, architectural jewel of the town. Its fairytale design inspired Walt Disney's vision of Sleeping Beauty's castle in Disneyland.

Monasterio de El Parral Another beautiful church to see is the Iglesia de la Vera Cruz, the most interesting of Segovia's churches and the best preserved of its kind in Europe. To finish your town's visit, see the Monasterio de El Parral with its Flamboyant Gothic structure.
