Here under Spain - Madrid Northwestern Tour - Day 6, you will find travel information for that day, with all the practical information including the opening hours and addresses of the different attractions.
Continue your Salamanca's discovery by seeing the Casa de las Conchas, one of the city's most endearing buildings.
Finish your tour by 2 convents. The Convento de San Esteban which has a façade that is in effect a huge altar in stone, with the stoning of San Esteban as its central motif and the Convento de las Dueñas, the city's most beautiful cloister.
Take the way of La Alberca, the most heavily visited mountain village in the Sierra de Francia. La Alberca is a harmonious huddle of narrow alleys flanked by higgledy-piggledy houses built of stone, wood beams and plaster.
After the town's visit over, go to the Peña de Francia, the highest peak in the area (1732m), topped by a monastery and reached by a road. From here views extend east to the Sierra de Gredos, south into Extremadura and west to Portugal.

We invite you to the www.travel-university.org library where you can read general interest and detail oriented articles.
