Here under Spain - Southwestern Tour - Day 6, you will find travel information for that day, with all the practical information including the opening hours and addresses of the different attractions.
In Seville, Andalucia's capital, discover the most passionate and portentous Semana Santa (Holy Week), the most festive and romantic annual feria (fair), the best tapas bars and the most stylish people in Andalucia.
Start your Seville's visit by the Cathedral and the Giralda. Seville's cathedral is one of the largest in the world. The Giralda was the minaret of the mosque. Its proportions, decoration and colour, which changes with the light, make it perhaps Spain's most perfect Islamic building.
Just after, go to the Barrio de Santa Cruz, the Jewish quarter. Its today a tangle of quaint, winding streets
and lovely plant-decked plazas, with numerous souvenir shops and popular places to stay, eat and drink. Its most characteristic plaza today is Plaza de Santa Cruz, one of the finest examples of Seville wrought-iron work.
In this same quarter, visit the Hospital de los Venerables Sacerdotes and discover the lovely central courtyard, several exhibition rooms and the church.
To conclude your first day in Seville, walk until the Plaza de toros de la Real, Seville's bullring which is one of the most handsome in Spain and probably the oldest.
