Claire stared at her blankly. She... she was not sure what to say to that! After spending quite some time calming down her new cellmate and best friend forever she was able to ascertain a reasonable grasp on what was going on.
Everyone in the faculty had been lured in on a discount flight, rоbbеd of their valuables, and were expected to work themselves to dеаth. This was a lot for her to take in. What kind of madcap conspiracy had she gotten herself into? Still... although she appeared to be in dire straits, she could feel herself start to get excited. This place was just begging for a revolutionary leader! She hadn't had a bad mystery vacation yet, and she didn't intend to start now! She would lead these oppressed people to liberty, and it would be the Best Vacation Ever!
At the very least, she hoped it would go better than that time she tried to organize a rebellion in a Canadian Wal-Mart she visited. It had certainly been embarrassing when it turned out that they hadn't needed rescuing at all! This time would be different though. For one, this was a freaky forced labour camp island and not a simple northern department store. She got Jill to spread the word to all the prisoners asking them to meet at table three during lunch. She was going to have them out of here by dinner, she was certain of it.
The revolution was planned. The oppressed had their instructions and went to work. The first division was to cause a distraction by setting fires and sabotaging the factory's machines. Largely through setting fires. While the guards were in a turmoil trying to deal with the fires and rioting, division B would break into the airplane hangar and steal the largest jets they could find.
Fortunately, the island was inhabited by several pilots, anyone who found out what was going
on and objected was imprisoned. Count Virgin Branson could afford to bribe anyone. He couldn't, however, afford to bribe everyone. Division C was going to break into his office and swipe as many incriminating documents as they could. The C stood for Claire, as she was the only one in that division. The others wanted simply to escape, but Claire wanted to bring down the jerk responsible too. The other escapees agreed to wait while she did this, but not forever.
She had managed to sneak into the main office undetected, and started to rummage through the files in the desk. It was awfully convenient of him to keep all these incriminating documents in one unlocked centralized location. She was so preoccupied being pleased with herself, that she didn't notice the shadow of the honourable tyrant Count Virgin Branson looming behind her. And he was none too pleased about his empire dissolving into flames. He genuinely couldn't understand what was happening. All those other slaves had had their spirits broken without so much as a snarky comment. What was this girl's problem? He felt it was a severe over reaction. He reached for his 6 bullet disCount brand revolver. There was only one way to deal with this kind of predicament. Unfortunately for him and fortunately for her, Claire heard the revolver click, grabbed the files, elbowed him in the gut and ran out of the room.
The chase was on. She ran as fast as she could through the smouldering remains of the compound with Count Virgin Branson in hot pursuit, firing haphazardly into the air.
She could see the airplane hangar now and put on an extra burst of speed. She abruptly stopped running and Count Virgin Branson crashed into her and fell down. She kicked his
gun
away, and then set off to board the plane. Sayonara, Count Virgin Branson, hello discount flights! The escape plane took off and she couldn't help but smile as she looked out the window at the former tуrаnt screaming and cursing the air as he watched them pull away. Not a bad vacation, all in all. Still, in the future she might be at least a little bit more cautious when it came to choosing her vacation destination. Oh, who was she kidding. This incident only made her crave the random discount flights even more. In fact, she was already booking a trip for next month with her newly reclaimed laptop!
Locals hypothesize that the legacy of Italian blood and culture in Cologne, colonized by the Romans more than 1500 years ago, makes the people more jovial and lighthearted. Cologne is the largest city on the Rhine.
